Gosh Flurry's head was itchy. She couldn't know this yet but the buds of her horns were preparing to burst forth, but they hadn't yet so all the young girl knew was that her head was itchy. The girl had moved towards the cavern that was part of the Pirate's stomping grounds, partially because she wanted to explore but also frankly because it felt good to press her skull up to the stone, it was cool and soothing and when that wore off it did a pretty good job of scratching too!
It was during one of these scratching sessions Flurry had become away of the bumps. The girl couldn't see her own head so she couldn't have seen them if she tried and even if she could have they weren't exactly big yet, though they would grow as she did eventually, for now, there were just slightly raised sections of her skull, slightly offset towards the outside of her skull on either side of her eyes, hardly visible even to anyone who could get a good look at her. But she could feel them. Flurry frowned, rotating her head while one of the bumps was pressed into the wall, feeling it the best she could, or at least the way that made the most sense to her young child brain in this exact specific moment.
