Hanako glanced over at the door, sullen and moody, brows furrowed as someone new passed into the threshold. The door was hastily closed behind her, forcefully enough to rattle the floorboards beneath Hanako's frame. Regarding the stranger for a moment, Hanako couldn't hold back the urge to roll her eyes. More coaxing with food? Couldn't they take the hint? Hanako wasn't eating cause she didn't want to, she was trying to prove a point, to cling onto what little power she had left in this situation. It wasn't much, barely even a crumb of what she was used to but it was better than nothing, better than the alternatives.
"I'm not hungry." Her tone was pointy, barbed, almost smug in the knowledge she could keep this up for longer than they'd probably think. She was a stubborn thing, determined to do what she could to maintain what little remains of her pride she had left. That didn't stop her from noting that there was fish on offer, her favourite.
She guessed there was no harm in letting a healer tend to her, an act of service wasn't all that demeaning. Especially if the stranger was as gentle and careful as her demeanour implied. It was something, something tiny, enough to soften her expression a little.
"Mmm. My neck hurts." It stung a little where Sparrow's teeth had dug in, but even Hanako knew it wasn't anything life-threatening. The damage had been self-inflicted, sort of, wouldn't hurt so bad if she'd just kept still.
