The boy proclaims it was 'just smelly' to which Eden's face wrinkled with amusement. She said nothing as she dug the herb out, adding it to her collection of plants in the satchel she carried. All the while, she listened to Scald say what he was here for. Exploring, of course. He must be freshly out of his mother's den if he was exploring one part of the pack's territory. Or he stuck by the cavern until now.

"No, not every beach has black sand" she agreed with the pup "maybe we can explore together, Scald? I want to find a cool looking shell" Eden did not use the word 'pretty' because he was a boy and boys typically did not like pretty objects "all I found is lavender" she added with a wry smile "maybe you'll have better luck than me?" If she was forced into this pack, she might as well keep up appearances and try to get along with the others. They were not bad wolves.
