Ooh La LaThe Ooze ParticipantThe Ooze - Variation 1
07-13-2022, 07:51 AM

With the expansion finally in place and undergoing real patrols and border marking Serenity was feeling confident enough to bring her half brother out to the grove to help her with relocating some of the berry bushes to contain an area for honey bees as Briar had on her mind. She had already brought it up with Emile prior, and they set a day when neither of them were doing too heavily of duties and could spare most of the day on their task.

She waited for him in the courtyard of the castle beside a small cart she would be taking along with them, giving him a gentle smile when he joined her but didn't say much otherwise unless he did. She was pretty comfortable around him just a little more than others probably from being blood related and while that may not have seemed like much because Serenity was a relatively social woman when around other wolves it did mean more to her than he could know.

She wandered out in the grove with him, not showing it physically but a little on edge about the possibility of bears in the new lands. They had gotten their ropes on the grove though and they had a few extra paws out here patroling plus with Serenity here with Emile he would have nothing to worry about. For now she'd just try to enjoy the sights of the Wildberry Grove until they reached their task.

Once the bushes were becoming more abundant, Serenity stopped in the natural growth of the bushes and trees examining the wildberry bushes for a moment. She looked to Emile just for the explanation, "I guess we are going to dig down over the roots, just like you would with any herb." She gave him a smile and dropped the cart where she stood before getting to work. Emile could chose to dig his own bush out, or he could help Serenity with one at a time. She didn't have a preference, but they would need to work together to get the bushes into the cart so they didn't jostle them too much.

Serenity started to dig gently around the base of the wildberry bushes as if they were extremely fragile to her paws, but she learned quickly she needed to use a little more brute strength to get the old packed dirt loose on the ground surface. They were a lot more sturdy than most flowers or herbs. It was starting to get a little easier as she went whether that was just getting used to it or the soil was actually easier to work with around the roots. Once one of the bushes was dug out, she would wait for Emile so they could lift the bush with just some care into the cart for transport. They could fit a few on here though before heading to the area being constructed for bee hives.
