this sand isn't warm

There wasn't much plant life scattered about, but the few bits of foliage there was had to be a hardy sort. Able to deal with the relentless cold of the north. This place sent him mixed messages, it was a beach so he wanted it to be warm, but it just wasn't. Almost didn't fit in with the roughish nature of northern Boreas. Like it had been plucked right from the south, plopped here without a thought or a reason. Either way he padded along, stepping a little closer to the water to allow the waves to roll over his paws. Chilly but not unbearable.
