Healing or causing wounds today

Kotori had suggested a stop at the hot springs.  Perhaps the heated water would help Tove’s body heal some, or at least ease any aches she must have.  The horned wolf stepped in a pool, a shallow one where the water didn’t make it even halfway up his legs, intending to lay down in it.  Kotori scented air instead, remaining still and staring hard at the trees a short way off.

After a few moments, a bear walked out, heading straight towards the wolves.  It swaggered along as if it expected the wolves would actually flee just from seeing it.  Kotori hopped out of the pool, charging at the bear, opening his mouth to bite for a leg but changing tactics and biting into the arm that was swung out at him instead.  Mostly Kotori just got fur in his mouth but it had stopped the attack even if he didn’t do any damage to the bear.
