Can't let you eat in peace

This was one piece of landscape Kotori had never been to before. All of the insects reminded him of when his father made him help catch a queen bee. Kotori snapped at an annoying moth but only once. His memory went back around to blue fireflies and while he knew the bugs around here were natural, the memory itself was enough to make Kotori leave the bugs be.
He had never seen a number of these fruit trees before. What sort of prey enjoyed these? Kotori had been scenting the air for prey when he found a different scent and quickly saw what caused it. The large grizzly on all fours his neck craned up looking at a bee hive. It didn’t seem concerned about Kotori but it would be soon. Kotori just couldn’t ignore it, he couldn’t let the bear be. He had spotted it and now it had to either die or run away.
When Kotori started running at it the bear turned from its potential snack, letting out a guttural huffing sound letting the wolf know it wasn’t happy with the idea. Kotori ran straight at it, spinning wide at the last second as the bear sent a large muscular paw out to attack him. Kotori leaped up onto its back, biting into a sensitive ear and quickly shredding it. The bear stood up on two legs and Kotori had to leap off before he fell off.
