Aryn wasn't entirely sure what had happened. One moment she was in the man's jaws, being shaken vigorously, the next she had been released and her mouth tasted sour. Stumbling away from her opponent and fighting the overwhelming nausea and dizziness, she cast her gaze back across the wolves. The whole battlefield was spinning and blood was pounding hard in her skull, making it hard to identify even friend from foe. Did she just quietly accept the victory and bow out now? One victory was well above what she had expected.
In her confused scanning of the gathered wolves, she noticed Veigar for the first time. He had won his fight just as she had, and Aryn could not help but give a lopsided grin to the back of his head. Then she noticed the red one barrelling toward him. It took a good amount of restraint to simply watch as Ignis initiated on the boy she'd helped to raise, she did her best to remind herself that so far each raid she had been apart of had been friendly, for practice. It wasn't until she saw the wild look in the red man's eye and the frenzied way in which he went for the yearling that the pit in Aryn's stomach began to grow. It was not simply a match for dominance, Ignis was seeking to harm Veigar.
The dizziness she had been warring with vanished abruptly, replaced instead with the fog of rage. She peeled back her muzzle into a snarl, sprinting down on the battling men and throwing herself up toward Ignis' back as he grappled with the child. She was much smaller than the red man was, but perhaps that could play to her advantage. If she could succeed in her leap and her jaws could find purchase within his scruff, the falling weight of her body might be enough to tear him down and away from Veigar.
