Their dance continued, her companion, Ears, staggering her opponent so that she landed heavily on her. Fangs went into scruff, though thankfully this time they did not draw blood. Bellamy, however, was satisfied. Wren had fought well for someone defending the truth of their pack and didn’t falter. She had no reason to believe the Armada was full of lies now. The only real test now would be to go see Sirius, the Warlord of the Armada itself. She broke away from Wren, shimmying backward and wiggling out of the other woman’s grasp. “That’s enough,” The woman breathed out. “You carry yourself well, Wren. I believe the truth in your words.” Her gaze shifted to her companions briefly as Ears and Whiskers scurried to her side. Whiskers was sure she was going to have a headache after this, but the Devil was in a good mood. He had had fun and for him, that was the bonus. “And you fight well for one so young.” There was respect shining in her eyes. “I thank you for your time, Wren. If you are also satisfied, I’d like to set up a time to meet with your Warlord. Whereabouts is the Armada located?” Her ears perked forward, breathing easily in and out. She would need to warn Lucette about the meeting, but she felt her daughter would be fine. She had been firm about staying with Bae-Syl… and though Bells was wary about her daughter and the yearling boy being on their own, she knew she couldn’t hold onto her little girl forever. |
