Lucette had heard Bae-Syl but she had had enough energy to go back and tell him she’d be back. She barely had the energy to get to the doorway. Her mom was there in seconds, ushering her to move back, to get back to bed. She didn’t argue - getting back to bed sounded like a blessing rather than a punishment. Her steps were a bit shakey as she moved back, letting her mother in. Then it was back to the room where Bae was and ushered onto the bed. She didn’t say a word, moving to settle back next to Bae-Syl to get warm.

Her dad was on the bed moments later, undoubtedly worried just like her mom was. The difference was Gavroche was a healer, and he could help them feel better. She whimpered, closing her eyes as her dad started asking them stuff. “Yeah…” If she had known she’d start to get this sick from getting wet she’d have been way more careful about finding shelter when the storm rolled in. Then he was asking about Bae’s wound. She whined again, flicking her tail as her head pounded. “Lamb’s… ear…” The conformation was all she could get out.
