“Lava Rocks” but sung to the tune of Thunderstruck

Exhaustion was wearing upon Aryn, but Ignis appeared single-minded in his choice of target. Against her best attempts at distraction and intervention, she could not stop the brutal assault upon Veigar. Eventually the boy could no longer fight, and Aryn was forced to let Ignis stride successfully away. She escorted the yearling out to the 'border' of the raid, ensured he and his wounds fell into capable paws, and then split away back to the centre of the battlefield. Leaving Veigar when he had been wounded so badly was not something Aryn had ever wanted to do, but the pirates were still here and in need of driving out, and Aryn would stand in defense of Habari for as long as she was physically capable - for Veigar, if not for Recluse.

A fight beside her ended quickly, and another young, unskilled child beside her fell. Aryn's muzzle wrinkled in protective fury, this was not a yearling she knew of very well, but it was one of Recluse's and by extension one of hers. Pyralis' attack might not have been as violent and dangerous as Ignis' had been, but Aryn had made up her mind on the group and had stopped looking for gentleness altogether. She sprinted for the woman [Pyralis] before she could initiate another fight, jaws parting as she neared to try and land a bite upon where the woman's shoulder connected to her chest. The move left her head open, but Aryn hoped her antlers would be enough of a deterrent not to try and take the opening. The kind-hearted Valentine woman was no longer taking chances with this raid, she wanted the invaders gone and she wanted them punished for how their member dared to treat her son. If her bite would land, she would give it her all and seek to leave the pirate with a similar wound to the one Ignis left on Veigar.
