The moment Bae started to readjust himself Lucy started to shimmy against the man, wanting to be closer, to take comfort from him as well as warmth. She was wishing she hadn’t woken up and started feeling this way. She was used to feeling annoyed with her small size and lack of ability to do things, but getting sick had been hard on Lucette ever since she was little. Helplessness wasn’t in her vocabulary and having to submit to the feelings of grossness she felt… Gods… She whimpered, cracking open an eye to see her mother fleeing the room.

“M-mom…?” She shivered heavily against Bae-Syl’s larger form as he shushed her. She whimpered softly, especially as her bestie seemed insistent on her being treated first. “...no…” She was trying to protest softly.

Her father had a similar thought in mind. She could feel herself mentally cringe as her father mentioned that the wound wasn’t properly treated. She had tried her best! She felt embarrassed that she hadn’t recalled the exact uses of the herb… but it had the best she had on paw. He wasn’t wrong though and seemed to echo her own thoughts from yesterday. He tried to compromise with Bae-Syl, even stating so long as the wound was treated he’d jump to treating her first.

“Bae…” She wasn’t sure he’d listen. They were super stubborn when it came to one another. But Lucy knew she didn't want anything to happen to him. A day without him would feel too strange… wrong… She wanted him to listen but that didn’t mean she believed that he would.
