Lucette huffed as Bae-Syl corrected her father. She knew her father meant nothing by what he had said. He was speaking the truth, and sure it sucked to know she was still new to the whole healing thing in comparison to him. Bae was wrong though. He did risk infection. Just because the wound had been cleaned well initially didn’t mean it couldn’t get infected. But she knew that Bae was just being stubborn because it was about her. He was always stubborn about her skill, even when she tried to express to him that she was still learning. It was both a reassurance and a worry. At least he had faith in her, she supposed.

For now, she conserved her energy, not trying to argue with either of them. Her head was continuing to throb and she just didn’t have it in her. Thankfully her dad knew to leave things well enough alone. He didn’t try to argue with Bae further, and Lucy breathed a small sigh of relief. At least one of them was thinking the situation through. She tried to focus on the herbs that her dad was going to administer, taking note of them. Marshmallow, it seemed, for the general cold, possibly cough? Then, once the man tested her temperature, he added on boneset.

That explained why she felt so gross at least. She let herself lean heavily against the rainbow-marked male and allowed her eyes to slide closed once more. She wanted to sleep. She wanted to sleep and ignore the sickness and achiness she felt right now. But she’d have to stay with them long enough to get the herbs at least. Her dad would definitely poke at her to make sure she got the medicine. It just sucked she was much better at giving it than taking it.
