a hunt built for two

Traveling this far north was.. probably not very smart. He'd gotten lost on the pursuit of a goat around the prairie, but instead of being smart and turning back after he failed he pressed on deeper into Boreas. He hadn't been up here before so maybe it was dumber than even he thought, but now that he was here he may as well make some use of it. Besides, he was hungry. Maybe there was something here he could hunt for a meal, but bring a resource back to Tojo that wouldn't decay before he made it home.

The scent of a cervidae was strong, causing him to pause and lower his nose to the ground. They were very close, but even he knew a large deer would be difficult if not impossible on his own, and he wasn't that stupid. Hoping that with the one, maybe there were more, he pressed on in search of the deer but came across another wolf before finding the deer or a herd he hoped it had.

Socializing wasn't really his thing, but as his stomach growled he figured it was worth a shot. He may be rusty, but he was a trained samurai that had managed to fend for himself up until now. Kunai turned towards the other wolf and called out before he got too close. "Interested in a hunt by chance?" Maybe he would be lucky and they were interested in the deer, too.
