Bae let her be close as if sensing her need for warmth. It was weird though… why did she feel so cold if she was running a fever? The young woman whimpered, parting her eyes ever so slightly as she watched her dad and James sort through the herbs. It was just like when she was really little again… and she felt helpless to do anything about it. Mental note, Lucy thought, avoid getting sick again no matter what. This sucked butt… she could fight a wound any day, but keep the germs away!

But then he presented her with the herbs. Lucy looked down at them with a furrowed brow. She really didn’t want to deal with taking them… it felt like effort and pain that she would rather avoid. But how was she supposed to get better if she didn’t? She frowned, staring at them, as her father went on about the uses of the herbs. If she were well she would have eaten up the information but right now she was barely processing it. She flicked her tongue out and lapped the herbs into her mouth.

Plants always tasted different when you were harvesting them versus when you actually needed to take them. After slowly chewing and swallowing them she made a face before turning to lay her head on Bae-Syl. “Don’t ever let me go out in a storm again…” She groaned.
