Zee had found lots of logical little reasons for the way her body had rapidly begun to change over the season. The outline of her ribs faded, but Sirius had never stopped trying to force-feed her and so it was logical eventually she'd gain back some weight. Nausea became a common symptom for her in the mornings, but if you went back to the whole force-feeding thing, that made sense too. Her emotions were a bit higher then they were in years past, but she'd also never had to deal with a large pack restructure, the dissolving of three others, and a vendetta one family seemed to have against her own before. It wasn't until the milk came in that the reality of her situation hit, and even then she put off the topic for as long as possible. Eventually however it would become impossible for Sirius (and others) to not notice, and it was not fair of her to hide the news of the coming litter from him any longer.

Rather then sit at home and wait for his arrival, Zee headed off down the mountain pass to search for him. Finding him by the bonfire, she greeted him with a firm (but not painful) bat of her paw. "You made me fat." The Queen accused darkly.
