Scald only half-listened to her at first because what pup actually listened to adults? He did briefly glance in her direction when she mentioned predator. Did she think he was a scaredy cat? No way! Let any bear or beast come their way and he'd protect her or leave her for dead. Who knew? Pushing his muzzle back toward the flowers and sniffing around with deep breaths, he had to keep his eyes crinkled almost shut to stop himself from sneezing. There were tons of flowers here! More than he'd ever seen at the beach!

Red, pink, yellow, purple, blue, the whole rainbow! Kind of like him, ya know? Scald paused again to look at Eden with a curious look. Marigolds, okay, he might remember that for later. Pouncing around like a rabbit hopping over hills, he loved the way the flowers exploded into plumes of petals every time his growing paws landed on them. Nearly tripping at one point over his own toes, he dusted himself off and looked over to Eden. "Raids? I dunno. I guess I like fighting Rexx, but that's kinda like my dad's thing?" His shoulders shrugged before he continued investigating the different flora of the gulley.
