Her worries were put to rest as the man told her he appreciated the respect she’d been trying to give them but assured her there was no need, that he appreciated the company. That was a relief for Memento Mori, who breathed out the breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding. As she got older she had been trying to be a little more mindful about how she interacted with others… though she did prefer the company of other wolves when she could get it. As a loner, she had to put herself and her companions first, but that didn’t mean she didn’t like being able to talk and interact with her own kind. Especially now that she was back in Boreas it seemed that desire was growing more and more after meeting with Ezra. When he spoke again it was to reassure her once more. He understood what it was like to watch more than interact at times - apparently, he did it too. She gave a small nod, her gaze softening. “You can learn a lot just by watching.” The femme added. She had certainly learned a great deal as a loner by observing other creatures and wolves alike. It had become beneficial for her survival. But more than that it was also fascinating to see how others could be when they were doing things naturally. Meme smiled a little. The man went on to speak about the falls and she nodded. “It is a very beautiful territory. I was born here, years ago, and raised by these falls. I’ve only ever met one other loner out here and that was, all things considered, fairly recent. I can’t help but feel a pull back here myself, despite the fact that I no longer have kin here.” The quiet, peaceful atmosphere was what she enjoyed about the place. Not to mention the falls were a wonderful spot to fish, so it had the right atmosphere as well as basic needs met. Not bad for a single territory at all. Then he introduced himself - Sota was his name. Meme dipped her head in response and, at last, seemed to settle on the earth so that they could talk comfortably. “It’s alright - I didn’t exactly give my name either. My name is Memento Mori Lore.” She drew in a breath. “Your company is likewise appreciated. The interactions one gets a loner can feel so very fleeting… Sometimes you long for more.” She furrowed her brow. “Though I do have an invitation from my cousin to come to visit the pack he’s in, and join for a while. I’m debating about it… The Hallows don’t seem like they could be all that bad.” "Talk, 'Think.' |
