Eden walked along with Ignis near the back, letting the pups wander ahead. If they stumbled, she'd try not to jump to their side immediately. Only if they cried, would she near them and offer words of comfort.

"Don't go too far, dears" she requested as she stood by Ignis "stay where your father and I can see you." Eden did not sit, but anticipated the rush of questions and darting around the beach. She tried to keep them away from the waves, for her lack of strong legs for swimming. Though if she was to guess, Eden would throw herself into the deepest part to save her children.
