She looked back at him once, only once. Torben flashed her a tired but happy grin. This was going to be difficult to win, but he'd do his best. It wouldn't be fair to Audra to let her win, though how does one let someone win a race? It'd be more work to make sure you controlled yourself in stride and speed. Though he knew if he won, it'd be a very slim chance and very close. Torben tried to will his weary traveled body forward. He gained a bit of speed, but Audra was already ahead of him. His attempts to keep up would be futile as he was more concerned about slipping. His eyes dropped from her frame and looked at the ground, cringing inwardly. His paw pads were used to snow and cold dirt, not slick grass. He wobbled a bit as he ran, conscious of the fact all it took was one fall and he'd be hurt. |
