Nothing short of paranoia

The woman had a dream… no, perhaps it was more of a nightmare. They had not been within Menagerie long, yet, despite this, Bellamy knew they could not stay here. Despite her word to Wren and the fact that she and Gavroche liked her, they could not ignore such a blatant message from Nox himself. The Allfather had come to her in a dream, warning her of disaster if she were to stay within Menagerie. The sign, a family lost, was enough to make Bellamy uncomfortable. After a talk with Gav, who had confirmed to her she was indeed pregnant, the decision was clear. They needed to speak with Wren and leave. They had not made the choice that their Divinities agreed with.

The woman sat beside her mate on the deck, heart pounding in her chest. She had liked Wren as an alpha and all, but the sign was too much to ignore. It had her worried, paranoid that if they stayed within Menagerie her children would be born stillborn. She drew in a shaky breath. She didn’t want that… even if she felt a bit guilty leaving the pack behind. Still, she had to do what was right for herself, and for her family, even if meant hurting the woman’s feelings. She tipped her head back and called for the alphess, hoping that Wren might understand.
