While she wasn't allowed to frequent the battlefield itself, Vanta could not help but notice the proximity the Armada's home was to the much-talked-about land. Her curiosity had brought her to the border more than once, to stare out over the nearby plain and watch, hopeful from a tree to get lucky and catch sight of a real combat. So far she'd not been lucky enough to arrive in time to secretly spectate a match, and with enough failed visits the pup decided to take matters into her own hands. To bring a challenger to her and participate, rather than quietly stalk.

Standing at the far end of the border as close to the battlefield as she could manage, Vanta tipped back her head and called in a squeaky howl for an opponent to arrive. Would one of her siblings come to meet her in battle? Maybe, if they weren't already asleep, but Vanta had no preference toward which opponent she would fight for the first time. She was going to win regardless - she'd been taught by the mighty Sirius and she knew the secret importance of biting upon toes.
