First move to victory

She hadn't really paid much attention to her brother's children, especially once he had sent away the one she'd really clicked with which had made it seem pointless to get attached to them,so she found herself pretty shocked when she was actually standing across from one of them and it was a freaking giant. Pretty much all the wolves in their family were huge compared to her so she hadn't given it much thought, but this one was somehow even bigger and hulkier than everyone else. She suddenly found herself much less confident about having out herself forward to participate in this champion thing, and exchanged a look with Tansy that made it clear the cat had no confidence in it either. Losing would look bad enough but giving up before the fight even started was unthinkable so she readied herself anyway.

The younger wolf charged her, and she leaped wildly out of the way, which saved her from both attacks but brought her out of reach herself. This was goin to be an especially grueling fight for her, because she would need to expend twice the energy he did to leap around in and out of reach. She couldn't afford to be hit at all, and this giant baby could just stand there and take whatever she dished
out, probably. Steeling herself for an exhausting battle, she darted back in to attempt to sink her fangs into his left hind leg at the hock, rearing upward to do so and slashing her claws at his thigh at the same time for balance.
