Walk | Talk | Think

With the boulder's use complete, Ashtoreth was grateful that Seraphine chose next to bound down off of it and join her upon level ground. It would have been a little strange carrying on the conversation having to speak up to her at such an angle, particularly with her relatively small stature and the rock only adding to the dark colored youth's already impressive size. But for the smile about her face as she positioned herself comfortably once off the rock, Ash knew their size differences would make no differences. She seemed respectful and mindful of the older wolf's expertise and rank, not overly confident or boastful either, and so it was expected that their meeting would go over very well.

"Perfect!" the lean grey wolf responded with a grin, her tail sweeping through the air eagerly behind her. Perhaps it was just a little too obvious just how excited she was to have actual hunters in need of training, and even more excited to note that these hunters were just as eager to be trained. "I was hoping to do this individually first anyway. No sense throwing you all into a hunt without knowing where you stand. Someone could get hurt that way." But that was neither here nor there for the time being. She was going to get a chance to train them the way she had intended, and that was what she needed to focus on.

"Right. Well, first things first. How well do you think you are at tracking?" Straightforward but with a course already set in mind, Ash gave the girl a chance to vocalize her own skills, assuming by her genuine vibe so far that any answer received would have been honest if not slightly underplayed. Either would have been fine with Ashtoreth. It was those who oversold themselves that tended to cause the most problems. Though already she was making a note of the girl's naturally larger size and supposed strength that would back it, working out a way to use that and her mild mannered personality to their benefit once the hunting truly began.
