A bit more of a challenge

The noises of the prey animals scattering were focused on. Bellamy’s ears swiveled, trying to focus on the sounds of the one coming closest to where she was. Once she was certain she had picked up on the creature’s whereabouts she sprang from where she’d been waiting. The deer stumbled as Bellamy drew close, but it was enough of a snag for the woman to pounce. Using her size and moderate weight to her advantage she managed to catch onto the side of its neck as it scrambled back up to its legs. Her lower jaw was across its throat though and she bit down hard as the deer tried its damndest to get away from her. No, Bells snarled, you aren’t getting away! Her rear legs, on the ground, dug into the earth as she applied more pressure to the prey animal’s throat, and, moments later, its front legs dropped. Bellamy would keep her hold, a vice grip, as the deer started to grow weaker and weaker. It was only once its breathing had stopped altogether that she released it. “Here we go. Lunch is served.”
