Basilisk was almost vibrating with the need to begin. He donned his armour when his father did. Forewarned about the invaders the scouts had spotted by his companion, and was ready when his father called. He listened to his fathers speech, and took it to heart. He would need to take home an ear today. He didn’t need a promotion, but he needed to prove he had earned it.
