The bear’s neck was starting to take on a red shade wherever you looked, top or bottom.  Swinging its head between the two wolves it roared in both anger and desperate attempt at intimidation.  The bear did something to prove it smarter than many of its kind and turned to run away.  Pointless.  Kotori would have chased it down anyway but also foolish.  The bear was running north, towards Elysium.  Kotori wasn’t about to help encourage a bear into his neighboring pack's turf!

Kotori ran past the bear, swinging around in front to face it, snarling.  The bear didn’t stop and attempted to just charge through the wolf.  Kotori was forced to avoid the charge, getting out of the way but he bit into the animal's front right leg as he did, pushing on his brakes.  The bear could have tried to drag him of course but that would have just made the wound worse.  The bear swung a fist around, making Kotori back off.
