She Sells Sea Shells by the Sea Shore

She had been brought to a pretty beach with a lot of nice wolves. Or at least, the red man and the pup she had followed here seemed nice. They didn't seem to be mean at all! She did miss her mama though, but also it was nice to be around other kids that she could probably play with. She enjoyed being at the beach! The sand was more like the snow she was born into, but it did get everywhere and stuck a lot to her fur. She was too young to understand that she had pretty much been kidnapped. Lured away from her family. She stumbled along the shore, bounding after crabs and rolling in the sand, playing chase with the waves and narrowly avoiding getting swept up by them. The red man's companions kept an eye on her, making sure she didn't get sucked away by the ocean. After all, the red man said that if she went too deep, she could get swept away and she didn't know how to swim yet. She paused at the edge of the water, just past the line where the tide reached. She spotted something shiny sticking out of the sand, and upon closer inspection, it was some sort of...something that she had never seen before! She pawed at it, noting that it was open like some sort of flat, curved, shiny rock that had been split open. Only it wasn't a rock. She had no idea what it was, but if she knew what an oyster shell was, she'd definitely say that she liked the way they looked so far! |
