Rivin's dad helped them as he supervised them in the makeshift kitchen. While she cleaned off the oysters and Rivin prepared the herbs, Ignis had started getting an old pot of fresh milk simmering on the fire. His companions stoked the flames, and when she was done washing off the oysters, she set them aside and then hummed to herself as she wondered how they were going to pry open the shells to get the oysters inside. That was where Ignis' cockatoo came in. The black and red bird hopped over and began to take the oysters one by one, prying them open with his beak and Saga watched on he extracted the oysters from the shells. "Eeww those look gross!" They looked like something that would come out of her nose! They were slimy and soggy, and as she peered at the ones in the bowl, the bird piped up. "They look like a nasty gob eh? But I promise ye, when we're done with this, you'll be beggin' for more, eh mate?" He squawked as he continued his work. "Wash 'em off for me love?"

Saga did as she was bid, and when they were done opening and cleaning the oysters, Ignis took the oyster juice and oysters and put them in the pot. As the stew started to get warm and simmered, the smell it gave off was unlike anything she had smelled before! "That smells yummy!" She exclaimed as her paws danced excitedly in place, "Rivin, whenever you're ready, you can put the herbs in." The red wolf had said, and Saga was eager to taste this!
