A peaceful stroll
Cerberus

Ruse looked up at Cerberus curiously when he mentioned how he and their father had come here last autumn, but that it didn't feel the same. "Really?" she mused, scanning the land around them again. Of course she didn't have anything to compare it to, but she wasn't sure how a place like this could be all that different. She did have to admit that it almost seemed too perfect, like everything had been made a very certain way somehow. She tried not to wonder about it too much though and just enjoy the pretty scenery. The weather was cool, but not too cool and she was enjoying the vibrant colors of the leaves that occasionally drifted down to the ground. It was weird to think how much time had passed. She was already half way to her second birthday and soon she'd get to see all kinds of seasons up here in Boreas. It made her wonder how long it would be before their family returned... would it be months? A year? More?
While her thoughts were wandering she completely missed her brother's grin and jumped a bit when she was suddenly hit with a scattering of leaves, making her blink and give a little shake to toss off the few that landed on her back and head that got stuck there. She tossed him a playful glare and a grin and scooped up a few leaves to toss them back at him, giggling lightly with her tail wagging behind her. Up above them there was a squeaking and chattering and when she glanced up she saw a little rodent—maybe a chipmunk or something similar—that she could have sworn was scolding them even if she couldn't understand what it was trying to tell them. Whatever it was saying it wasn't pleased at what they were doing. She glanced back to Cerberus with a shrug and nodded for them to continue on their way down this oddly well manicured path.
