Askan was fine with being dead, it wasn't so terrible when compared to the act of dying. But this thing, this evil cretin of a bird had to be the devil incarnate, had seemingly died just to spite him a little bit more. Intent on not letting him rest in peace. It hadn't bothered him last time he'd someone wandered around the world of the living for a bit, so why now? What had changed? A lot, from the looks of it. For one all sorts of plants had started to spring up amongst the cracks in the old stone and despite how it seemed as though someone had tried to trim them back, they just kept on growing. Intent and stubborn. This place was well lived in, neat and tidy aside from all the foliage. All the flowers and plants that Askan was pretty sure weren't native to this part of the world.
He wrinkled his nose and did his best to ignore the goose looming by his side, long neck peering over his shoulder to see what had gotten his attention. Naturally he shoved it away with a push of his shoulders and pushed his way deeper into the castle, found himself standing in the great hall. He knew this place, knew it hd been home once but the details of it all were fuzzy, out of reach no matter how hard he squinted. He'd been at a feast before, eaten his fill and made his way here for one reason or another. Felt like a blink of an eye and then he was here again, devil goose in tow.
Pausing, he heard the pitter-patter of small approaching paws against the ancient stone. They didn't seem to react to his-or the goose's- presence in the least, making him think he was here...but also not really. Just a visitor, the sort who didn't wipe their paws off on the welcome mat.
