Thorn

As they went, she also began to pick up on the other things that had popped up with this unusual pocket of magical autumn. She paused whenever Thorn did to investigate along the path, peering at the flowers as he stopped to smell them. She didn't notice the nest until he pointed it out, however, and she peeked over the top of his head to see the small eggs it contained. "That's really neat," she agreed with a smile before gently guiding him away from the nest. "You don't want to mess with it though just in case their mother is still around. Wouldn't want to make her angry or scare her off, would we?" Honestly she didn't know if that was the kind of thing that would be entertaining to a pup or not, but hopefully not. Either way, she wasn't going to have him bothering the local wildlife on her watch.
As they passed by one of the few trees that dotted the plain, they crossed through a heavier scattering of falling, colorful leaves—more leaves than she logically felt could be falling from a tree this size. Maybe it wasn't something that Thorn would notice, but with her own suspicions about what was causing all of this it did make her a bit more wary about all the unusual effects it was having. She peered up into the tree through the branches and caught a glimpse of a few crows that were perched in the tree, bobbing up and down and making the limbs shake a bit, making the leaves fall faster and adding to the atmosphere that they were helping create. She raised a brow curiously, but didn't comment on them, instead deciding to just continue on so that she could get Thorn through their walk and back home quickly.
