Afternoon of Dread

The majority of her youngest children had come to see her already, and though each one-on-one with them was the hardest of conversations, Zee would not rest until she'd spent time with each and every one of them. They may not be aware of how truly dire things might be, but one day they would be able to look back on this time knowing that opportunity was limited. Zee would do everything in her power to ensure that after she had passed, they would not look back on this time with her sick and feel guilt for not seeking her out for a final conversation.

Freshly medicated and with at least enough energy to make it down the grand staircase, Zee went off in search of her most serious of puppies. She did not know where she would find the solemn, quiet boy, and hoped that by the time she arrived to him she would still have energy left to spend.
