With the stars as your guide

It thrilled her that Andy had held a love for the stars in her heart, and as soon as Zee had discovered this interest in her sweet thoughtful girl, she had set aside time in the evening to teach her at least a small portion of what she had learned over her long years. Andy wasn't the first of her children to learn to love them. If only Asla was still around, her smallest of daughters would have been a wonderful mentor for the girl's budding interest. Zee herself had only grown to enjoy stargazing when Asla had taken an interest in it. When their bond had split and her growing girl had split off on her own, Zee would watch the stars and know that no matter how far she might be, they were all beneath the same night sky.

She brought Andy out to one of the watchposts atop the mountain, helping her up the perilous carved steps and ensuring her safety as they travelled the cliffs. In the valley of the Col the sky was concealed mostly by mountain, in the woods the stars were hidden behind gnarled and twisted trees. Height would be beneficial here, and a position where the pair had the opportunity to look upon the vast majority of the clear night sky.
