SITE UPDATE
10.12.2013 What is this? So, it's been awhile since we've done a site update, but get ready, because this shiz is massive. Sorry. Love you all. Now on Double Time Ala is officially running on double time. meaning that two months is one season instead of one month being one season. This will make time go by slower and allow for more IC plotting and character development (or so says the member base verdict lol) as a break down-- Spring: January 1st - February 15th Summer: February 16th - April 1st Fall: April 2nd - May 15th Winter: May 16th - July 1st Spring: July 2nd - August 15th Summer: August 15th - October 1st Fall: October 2nd - November 15th Winter: November 15th - December 31st Effective immediately. A board for members it was asked that a board for you guys be made. this will be for you guys to have site-related suggestions and questions and everything. We will do our best (the staff) to watch it an answer anything and everything that comes our way. The link will be in the OOC area at the top of the site and will be making a very quick appearance. I'll get it up shortly after posting this. Watch for it. New Staff & Concerning Staff Firstly, you should all welcome Kat and Shelby onto the staff team! they are both amazing members of ala that I think will do very well with this position. Congrats! -Secondly, there has been some things thrown around, but I would like to clarify: Alacritis is built based solely upon its members. Without members this site is nothing, and I do take every single thing you guys say with a grain of salt and make sure its talked about to at least a few staff that are online. If it seems like something to really consider then hell yes I'm going to work for you! -Thirdly, Staff are being prompted to use their ban stuff for the c-box. Staff members need to do so. I understand there's been some frustration lately, but that doesn't requite getting angry and snappy. I'll handle the staff when I get online if I get wind of whatever happened. These guys work really hard, so, even if you don't agree just try to save it until you can speak with myself or Andy. (even Seren or Nyx who are currently taking breaks from the staff life.) Guidebook So, the guidebook that I'll be putting up will be very boring and you'll all be like "blah its not as pretty as it used to beeee" but honestly, that's just gonna have to be for editing purposes. I need to make the guidebook easy for staff to edit, but I'm going to do my best to make it as visually appealing as is humanly possible. -I also need your guys -YES YOU GUYS- to help me write it. I'll be putting up a thread for each part of the guidebook and you can all go through and pick out rules you want to discuss or question and also tell me things that need to be added or more clearly explained. -Whatever goes in our guidebook this time is [staying] did you read that? [STAYING]. No more constant revising and changing and flopping and twisting. War Rules Siege rules re-written with member assistance as planned. -Siege can occur at any time, but there must be IC events leading to a siege that is lead on another pack. -Sieges do not have to occur on pack lands. Any thread where there are more than eight parties engaged in fighting will upgrade into a siege thread and fighting rules will fall under the Siege rules. -If a Siege is lead on another pack then a wolf may not assist if their joining thread is not begun within one ooc week of the start date of the Siege thread. -For alliances to arrive in a siege thread there must be a wolf that exits the area the siege is happening in and they must have a thread begun with the allies pulling them towards the Siege. -NO ooc to ic. Whatsoever. It is only natural to discuss strategy, but if people start joining threads from OOC influences the admins will not hesitate to delete posts. Challenges & Fighting Rules -Fights in Sieges are to be treated as dominance fights (unless they are an actual challenge for a member, pack, death;etc). -Dominance and maim fights may have unlimited participants. -When a thread becomes a siege fights have unlimited rounds and they follow a strict posting order. -There is no judging of a fight unless it is a member/death/pack challenge. -Default time is TWO days between each post. Posts must be made before this time is up. The default only applies to dominance and maim fights. Pack/death/member challenges still fall under their natural rules. -If Tier two or above in packs challenge for members they can not be attacked by a regular member of the opposing pack or the fight will be defaulted to the challenger and they will assume control of the wolf being pursued. -If those able to challenge are engaged in fights whenever a challenge is made for one of their members they must successfully get out of the fight (as a victor) to answer the challenge. -Every wolf may have up to FIVE knockouts before they can no longer fight. this is to play on the realism of wounds/exhaustion. -DMs are only natura and probable events in a war. However, the natural rules must still be upheld and DMs must still be approved by both parties or by the admin team. -Other Species may participate, however, they have limitations. They are only allowed to knock out up to three wolves and are not allowed to challenge for maims, claiming, etc; (Dominance matches only) -Rogues must have preemptive information on the sieges so that they stick near pack lands to hear the summons of the pack leading the siege. -Anyone can enter sieges begun in other lands. -Alliances must have been established 1 ooc week prior to the siege beginning. Regarding Duties These are no longer applicable bonus "givers" on the site. They will be incorporated in another way that will be announced in due time. |
