"Dad!"The pup exclaimed, her confusion dulling the excitement in her voice. "Where's mom? Why didn't she come back with you?"

Turning her head from her father's dour expression, Vanta began to scour the empty room. Was she hiding? Oh, it must be hide and seek! Maybe mom was feeling so much better that she was ready to play with them again! "Moooooom!" She shouted into the empty space. If only her siblings would hurry up and get here too, so they could get to playing!
