Seeing your brother once more (even in the body of another) should have been therapeutic and perhaps even might have brought closure, but your broken heart is beyond such simple forms of healing. Your grief and frustrations of a life hard lived have left a lasting impact upon you, and all you can feel when you think of his squirrely form is how you could not save him. Again and again you try your best for the ones you love, but your best is not enough.
The more you dwell on it, the more you feel your capacity to do good is fading away. What's the point of trying, when your effort is always for naught?
