Ahh, so her mother was giving a lesson on Foi and Majofionism. Lucette gave a small nod as the lesson began, though her mind wandered elsewhere. It was a lesson she’d heard before, and, truthfully, she was starting to grow worried about Bae. It had been what, over a month since she’d seen him now? But the girl was confident he would return, as was Ink, the kodkod companion at her side. The snake around her neck was less certain of the boy’s devotion, though Luce didn’t pay it much mind. Rush could be a bit of a grump, after all. She let her gaze wander over her siblings, wondering how each of them would take the talk of religion.
