the holy ground burns my feet

Incubus eyed the herbs presented to him for a moment before leaning down to give them two sniffs. He flicked a glance to the yearling as she told him to take them now, with a bit of a warning about their taste. With a small, slightly dramatic, wrinkle of his nose Incubuse took the herbs into his mouth and chewed. Bitter indeed. The grimaced as he quickly swallowed them and shook his head. "Foul." Thankfully Seere continued on to explained how to prepare the herbs in the future. A tea. He'd never attempted a tea before but if it helped him get out of pain he'd surely try it out. The words that followed were perhaps worse then those bitter herbs. Bed rest, essentially. Another small wrinkle of the nose was seen before a solemn nod. He had been working hard to progress in the pack as well as in the battle ring. A set back like this was not in the books. But, if it meant he'd get better sooner then later he supposed he'd at least attempt to follow her orders. "I do not idle well." A pause as he sighed. "But, since you seem to be a rather competent healer I suppose I'd be daft to not follow your instruction." A little grin was seen then, showing his sorrow was mostly dramatics. He did not want the poor girl to think he was upset with her. Seere offered to not only help with the first batch of tea but also offered to bring some furs for his den. His brow raised gently in response, "Oh you don't have to do all of that, love." A pause as he laughed, "Well, actually I may need help with the tea. That sort of stuff is not my forte." Incubus thought for a moment on how to explain the location of his den. As he began speaking her lightly flicked his nose in the direction of his den. "Due north of the Shrine just before the Rio. I'm sure you can scent it out once you are close enough, or just call for me and I can guide you the rest of the way." Incubus stood with a little huff and offered Seere a small smile. "Thank you, Seere. You are incredibly good at what you do." His voice was sincere and rather matter of fact. A true and unmotivated compliment from the brute. "See you soon." With that the male carefully picked up the herbs in his mouth, allowing them to lightly rest between his teeth, and moved towards his den. |
