Double, double, double down

Kore grins at Whiskers as she speaks, the badger stating that the companions have worked with Bellamy for some time. The galaxy coated boy’s eyes brighten as the kind lady offers to teach him and he bobs his head in agreement, happily exclaiming, “That would be awesome!” As he worries about the unborn pups that Bellamy carries, she is quick to promise him that they are okay and the boy lets out a loud ‘whoosh’ of air as he mumbles to himself, “Oh, thank goodness.” The boy would never have been able to forgive himself if he injured the pups or their mother.

As his thoughts suddenly begin turn to his childhood and the absent mother in his own life, Kore is grateful when Bellamy’s voice pulls him out of that downward spiral. Nodding somberly to her statement about life throwing loops, the boy perks up when she talks about the pack she is making. A smile appears on his lips and his tail slowly wags as he says, “That sounds great! And, maybe if we see each other out in the wild, we can spar again! You’re in the lead, one to zero. I’ll have to even the score next time.”

A wink is given as a thought crosses his mind and Kore asks, “Do you know where you want to establish your pack? Maybe, I could stop by and help for a bit. You know, just to visit and… stuff.” The boy does not know what pack life entails but, if it is anything like living with his eleven siblings, the star-marked boy figures he might be good at it. Besides, having a regular place to sleep at night might be nice too.
