no crime of passion is worth the crime of fashion

Vi had always had a love hate relationship with others, knowing that she needed them but at the same time preferring to watch her own back. She hated taking the good with the bad when it came to pack life but as with everything else in life it turned out that Vi was quite good at pretending to be a team player while managing to not be. The duties she had placed upon herself recently such as greeting rouges and patrolling boards were simple, easy and didn't require her to interact with anyone other then Taurig. Well she could interact with Newt theoretically but she knew that Zara and her were on the rocks and she didn't know where that placed her in the behemoths mind. She could tell a white lie and say she had nothing to do with Zara but in the end she would always be blood and Vi would happily lay down her life for family. So what was the point in lying to get a momentary gain when it was just as likely to come back and bite her in the ass later? It was why she didn't like wolves outside of her family, she was good at manipulating and making people feel comfortable around her but to be completely honest with someone she barely knew was beyond her skills still. So in a pack like old Tortuga where lying and manipulation got you everywhere she had fit in perfectly but in Taurig'a new Tortuga she avoided her pack mates so she didn't put herself in that situation. She wasn't used to trusting others and having others trust her, to have a complete stranger look up to her simply because she was part of this pack was almost terrifying.
She waited patiently, though after a short while her muscles began to flex and relax out of habit, toes clenching and scraping at the dirt. The red wench had never been patient but though she was beginning to fidget her gaze simply stayed fixated on the ground with slack features other then the softest of smiles. Her head snapped up, quickly enough that bones cracked in protest, as someone cleared their throat and wide eyes fixated on Taurig as he approached. Rolling her neck she chuckled as he came to seat himself before her and address her so casually. So differently then the first time they had met. She took note of the fact he was calling her Vi and a sly smile slithered across her features, should she call him Taur? Naw not yet... She's let him warm up to her further before she began to jest with him. "Well I couldn't help but noticed you calling me 'one of your many pack members' back there and was kinda wondering what you were up too..." She said, not bothering to beat around the bush, if nothing else she was good at getting to the truth out quite quickly and not wasting time. Some like that trait about her and others hated it but she found that it left them less time to ask more mundane questions possibly about herself or her life.
