He couldn't deny that he was getting increasingly frustrated with each moment that passed in their spar. Tyto wasn't really used to fighting others who bore unnatural mutations, so these hand-like paws that Ardyn had were something new to him. Was that why he was much more agile? Or was the Strix male just rusty after not having fought in so long? Whatever the case, he felt like he was either losing his touch or perhaps the younger Ardyn just had plenty more practice and better training than Tyto ever had.
The cloud of dust helped to obscure both of them, but it didn't entirely shield him from one of Ardyn's companions. He heard the faint sound of paw steps behind him, and just as he was about to turn to see what was coming, Nox leaped in to deter the attack with a swipe of his own paw at the other feline. By the time he reached Ardyn, Valhalla's king had pivoted once again and brought them side to side, causing the majority of Tyto's attacks to miss. He growled again with frustration as he put on the brakes, tail tucking beneath him. He turned his head in towards Ardyn, readying himself for those strange paws to come at him again. And sure enough, it came. When Adryn's foreleg snapped up to grab him again, he lunged his head downward in an attempt to grab Ardyn's foreleg in his mouth. He'd be damned if he'd be thrown to the ground again!
