There was a part of him that realized Scylla wasn’t acting this way just for him. He did have his moments with Ruse on his mind. How slow and step by step everything was with her. Growing on true instincts. It didn’t make him hate anything about Scylla’s interaction here, it was just different than what he had experienced before. He didn’t want to think of all the things his sister had done before she reunited with him and Albi, so he didn’t. He focused on them right now. It was easy for him.

The water diminished the scent of her heat but he didn’t really need that to drag him in anyway. What really hooked him was what he had been asking her for when he put his paw between them. The kiss is what really locked him in. It was familiar for him, familiar for the feelings that had been festering in him for the last couple seasons. He held his breath as she backed away, insisting again and his paws would carefully step down into the water.

He didn’t corner her immediately, instead finding a peaceful balance in the pool with his hind legs walking over the stone floor. Eyeing her, feeling drunk on the sight of her. That was not new for him. What may have felt so wrong to the average mind was not for them. Not for him and Ruse, not for her and Albi, and not for them together. The emotions he felt for them were a pillar in his life, they could feel it through him. Reaching a paw in her direction he went to pull her over him and sideways beside him as he kept his eyes on her. In a way perhaps sweeping her off her feet, if that’s something Scylla believed in. The weightlessness of the water almost felt magical in a way. It wasn’t just this moment either, he’d always feel like this.

He ended up moving her back over to the bank of the spring, delicately, maybe not what she had asked for originally but so much like himself. Placing a paw on either side of her slender frame, he took another noticeable breath still with those wondrous eyes over her. He lingered, just admiring her, maybe dragging it out too much until either she finally took his lips again or he made the move. It would happen. Not experienced but good, and easy to learn.
