He kept his eyes on her just for those few seconds as she had mentioned the view, a small grin turned up on his maw before he looked up at the mountain cliffs above and around them. "Yeah, sure is." Maybe hinting at her, but at least his eyes were looking around them too. He wasn't blind like some boys would be, to their surroundings that was. Some guys would come down into the hidden area of the sound here and shrug their shoulders. Cerb was a lot more observant and grateful for what he could experience.
He didn't shy away from her as she drew closer, giving him a small kiss that he returned back to her with soft eyes and that same crooked grin. He huffed a bit in a chuckle as she had suggested they could get distracted from exploring while they were here. She was not wrong, but he was really here for her. Whatever she wanted to do, he would do everything in his power to give that to her, always.
He followed her out towards the water, seeing the mostly unmoving seals in the short distance as they basked in the sun. Clever he supposed, though he too didn't know much about seals. He assumed they were made for the cold temperatures of the water, especially here in the north. He couldn't imagine having to survive off of ocean life entirely while they were taking shelter from the brittle wind just outside of the valley. "They kind of look like the manatees from the bay." South of their home in Auster, though he could guess that Ruse had never been there before. Not only from that pack that took up residence, but he knew Chimera had kept Ruse on the island for most of her young life. There had been some dangers outside, but for some reason Cerb had just thought that's how his father saw Ruse. A little weaker maybe, a little more delicate. He felt the same way. He just didn't want to restrict her from anything she wanted at least while he was here with her.
He tilted his chin a little as he looked down at her and the mood seemed to shift, he too dropped the grin that was comfortably on his maw. "I hope so." He tried to reassure her, but he honestly couldn't say for sure. Scylla returning without them seemed a little odd, and he wondered what would happen once Chimera and the others returned to the mainlands. With Scylla and Albi presumably staying here, he wouldn't want to leave. As he had come to sit next to her as they looked out at the seas, he rose his paw to wrap over her back and pull her side into him a little, leaning his cheek over her head in a small hug. He pulled his face back just a bit to look back down at her still with his leg around her, "What do you think you'll do when they come back?" He had already made up his mind he supposed, but a part of him didn't want her to leave either. And he'd find himself torn at a crossroad if she wanted to be back with their father and Dalila.
