He had already been sure that his assumption would be correct before Venom answered, but once she nodded it felt like it had been made final. He had no issue with going to their mother's name and leaving the Abraxas lineage behind and when Venom left it open for him to suggest another idea he just shook his head. "No, Klein will do just fine for me," he replied with a soft smile. He knew that at the end of the day it was just a name, but something about finally letting go of this old name that had only tied them back to a way of life they no longer followed felt so freeing. They were moving on to a whole new phase of their lives with his sister expecting a new litter of pups with the new love of her life after such a disappointing and heartbreaking loss of her former mate. He was watching his children grow into adults in their own right and he was starting to look toward the future of the relationship he had with Void and Rava. It was time to stop clinging to these old ideals and start striving toward things that actually made them happy. "I'll tell Void and the kids. I won't force them to change their names if they don't want to, but I don't know if any of them would really have any strong desire to keep their old name. I certainly haven't been giving them any of the Abraxas lessons." It was something he had to have a conscious decision over as he was raising the pups with Void, but the lessons had never brought him any peace and he couldn't bring himself to share that part of him with his children. Now he didn't feel like he had to.
