Seraphim had arrived as Taurig had begun to speak and had remained a quiet shadow in the rear. It would do no good for him to interrupt with his presence now, but it was good that he had still managed to make it here. He had been preoccupied when the call had come and had needed to hurry.
He spotted Devya toward the front of the group and wished that he could be at her side. it had been quite some time since he had seen his daughter and he longed to catch up with her, but now was not the time nor the place. He resolved himself to bond with her soon, and to speak to the Re soon after this meeting as well. He could wait no longer to have his wishes and concerns in the open now that he had finally decided what he wanted from his life in Tortuga.
As the speech ended, Seraphim turned to leave, feeling satisfied with his plans for the coming days.
