Raid Meeting

Avacyn took a breath before she began to work her way down the mountain paths and through the evergreen forests toward the pack's usual meeting place near the lake, bringing Saracyn along with her. Their parents had been working on setting up a practice raid with one of their allied packs and had tasked them with actually leading the thing–her mother's idea, really, as a small taste of what leadership actually felt like for her. She already did a lot of the behind the scenes work with her mother around the pack and was included in most of the big decisions, but this would be her first time running the show on her own aside from the last Elysium Festival. At the very least it was definitely her first adventure into leading in a combat situation. She glanced over at Saracyn at the thought, giving him a small smile. She understood why her mother had delegated those tasks to her father and would certainly keep that in mind once she took the pack.
It had been quite a while since the pack had a reason to use their meeting place, but that was going to change today. She came to the clearing beside the island's lake and stepped up onto a flat piece of shale that created a slightly raised platform on one side of the clearing. She gave herself a quick shake and then settled down onto her haunches, readying herself before she lifted her head and called for the pack's fighters. There was a lot of fighters in Elysium, but since this was a raid for practice and experience she had specifically wanted their warriors that needed more practical experience. She had spoken to them all individually already so they would be expecting the call, but this would be their chance to meet and discuss before they actually took off to fight. Letting the howl fade into an echo, the Heiress settled in to wait for the others to arrive.
