The journey was going smoothly and Sol and Khonsu encountered no issue from the northern most regions of Boreas down to the southern tip of Auster. The continents were beautiful and unique, offering a variety of new sights for the travelling twins as they made their way from pack to pack. Each new thicket and forest was distinct and different from the last and Sol was ever eager to see it all, poking his nose towards each new feature and learning more with each day that past.

Trying to identify one particular fungi of interest, Sol's neck extended a bit too far. They had continued walking and the placement had jutted a slender tree branch beneath their necks, catching upon their necklace and bringing it to tear from where it hung before their chest. The rope snapped, the hourglass falling to the grass beneath their feet. "Fuck!" Khonsu swore, reaching down with a paw to grasp the delicate accessory carefully. "We need to stop and fix this before we go any further." Sol knew of how much the sentimental object mattered to his brother and their religion, and while he was desperate to continue their journey, he could not ask Khonsu to give up something that meant so much to him. "Okay, uh, we're going to need to find a new string, right?" The cobalt eyed wolf asked his brother, his lips pulling back in uncertainty. Neither of them had crafted anything before, but it couldn't be that hard could it?

Khonsu placed the hourglass gently upon a pile of moss before turning his head to survey the trees around them. "Maybe we can figure out a way to use the vines." He suggested. It was the only thing nearby and on hand, and unless they wanted to spend an hour weaving individual blades of grass into a necklace... well, it'd have to do.

The wolves approached the nearest tree with a low-hanging vine entangling it's trunk, finding the thinnest portion they could and working to tear it with their dexterous paws. Next they had to work to measure it, to ensure it would fit around both their necks and not have the hourglass hang too low on the chest. Grasping one end in Khonsu's teeth, he flung the other over his shoulder until the vine landed across the spine, where Sol grabbed the other end. Bringing the two ends together, they carefully cut away the excess until the length was correct.

They took the vine from their necks and laid it back upon the ground, sliding the hourglass onto it before beginning the process of attempting a knot. The dexterity in their paws was something the twins were now very grateful for, and before too long they had made somewhat of a loop. The knot was rough and would not last forever, but as long as the necklace survived long enough until they could scavenge a better string, it would function.

Together they brought their heads to the ground and nosed their muzzles beneath the vine, working it up their skulls and onto their necks back where it belonged. "That was fun." Sol stated with a grin. "Sure, fun. Lets just keep moving. And be more careful of branches this time, please."

Sol & Khonsu

Sol & Khonsu are RP'd as two individuals, although OOCly they are considered one character.
Their speech will be color coordinated to their eye colors (Sol & Khonsu) to designate the speaker.

They each have a crested caracara companion, and share a marmoset companion.
Unless otherwise stated you can assume their companions are somewhere close by.

Yarrabelle, as their mistress, may enter any of their threads.

They are never seen without their hourglass necklace, assume it is always present hanging below their necks.

DM me if you want to plot with them!

+ They do have a rather comprehensive backstory / religion in their profile, and I'm happy to allow anyone who's interested to jump in and make characters from their home land / family / religion.
