Flurry was having a good old nap, she hadn't yet really picked a place to sleep consistently yet but she was drawn to the beach, to be honest, the ship just felt way more confining. Right now she was rolled onto her back, paws flopped against her chest shoved into a hole in the ground she'd found just big enough to shove herself into. So it really wasn't a surprise when she heard the commotion start-up, she struggled to roll onto her stomach in the tight confines and stepped bleary-eyed out into the world. She blinked a few times, trying to clear the fuzz of dream from her mind and force her eyes to focus on the squirming mass she could see further up the beach.

It only really clarified a bit, her angle was bad with the sun shining in her eyes and she could just make out paws and snarling and very distressed bird noises. She could make out the distinctive patchy coloration of her brother and that was enough to at least get her trotting toward the scuffle. Was he struggling with a bird he'd caught or something? As she got closer it got easier to make out the shapes and by the time Flurry realized her brother was scrapping with a pair of big cats Flurry was already flying down the beach to help him. She wasn't a particularly territorial wolf but she was nothing if not loyal to her crew and that included her brothers, stinky as they were.

So while her brother grappled with one of the bobcats Flurry did the first thing that came to her mind, she lowered her head and aimed to headbutt the cat that had turned its attention to her brother, it wasn't exactly easy to tell if she'd managed to skewer the cat, at least until she heard it snarl in pain, success! She'd gotten her horns into the meat of it's hindleg, though she hadn't had quite enough force to really dig them in. And frankly she wasn't really thinking past this point. Now what? she thought as a large paw came flying at her head, she stumbled back, feeling like her brain had just been scrambled.
