A Terror With Herbs

Backdated to the moments following Terra’s fall

The trip from the Stone Steppes to Elysium’s medical den is a blur of pain for Terra. It grays out the world, steals her breath, and causes her heart to pound painfully against her ribs. She is barely aware of the world and it is reduced to vague shapes and sensations. When she shifted to the ground from the dire wolf’s back, everything sudden blackens out as the pain overwhelms her system and she drifts in an ocean of darkness. At least here the pain cannot touch her, at least here, nothing hurts. All too soon the sharp knives of agony stab her brain and send the girl hurtling back into semi-consciousness where she lets out a low pained whine. Eyes open slightly, seeing a blob of slate color near her nose. What is going on?
